How Did You Know You Wanted To Be An Author? I didn't. I just started pecking at my keyboard with 2 fingers, after my 2-year journey through the Australian Outback, and 4 months later I had a manuscript. I then kept going back to it intermittently over the next 15 years until I felt it was a story worth telling. It was on the manuscript reaching that point, and finding a publisher, I decided I wanted to publish the book.
What Is Your Advice For Aspiring Authors? Just start pecking on your keyboard and let the story's inspiration take you where it does. Do not try to over think it or tell a story you think people want to hear. Tell the story it is most important for you to tell and then let the cards fall where they may. Most of us will barely cover our costs, including time invested, so the reward best comes from the quality of the work you release. If anything else comes to you, be happy with that and just enjoy where the story takes you.
