How did you know you wanted to be an author?: My father was an author and inspired me to begin writing at a young age.
What is your advice for aspiring authors?: Writing is a business, so learn your trade and be humble and teachable. All of thought we were great writers until we discovered we had a lot to learn from others.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?: Lee Child once told me that nothing good was ever written in the morning. Some are great at early prose, but I prefer to research in the morning and write in the afternoon.
What message do you want readers to remember?: Theme is the most important part of any book. What message do you want to convey to readers? Sprinkle that throughout without preaching.
How can fans get in contact with you?: email@example.com, and if you are a veteran or relative, visit www.veteranleaders.com to learn how we can help you with your writing career.
