How did you know you wanted to be an author?: I've been writing since I was a kid. I always had stories floating around in my brain. But it wasn't until 2010 that I decided to try to write a novel.. The result was MATEGUAS ISLAND, my debut, multi-award-winning contemporary Gothic novel.
What is your advice for aspiring authors?: Read, read, read and then write, write, write!
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?: I write most of a novel in my head first. When it's half done, I start putting it down on virtual paper.
What message do you want readers to remember?: Summer Girl is about love and is also about abuse. Any girl or woman who has been subject to emotional or physical abuse, can celebrate Andi's survival.
How can fans get in contact with you?: Through my website or on twitter (@splatland) or Facebook.
