How did you know you wanted to be an author? I figured it would be easier to write about conquering the world than actually conquering the world. Also, I failed the application test for Sanitation Engineer.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? Well, I’m going to say what everyone else does: write, write, write. And read, read, read. Lastly, don’t be afraid. You get one life (as far as I know): create some magic.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? When I’m on a roll, I try to write at least 500 words a night (any other time conflicts with my day job). I do a lot of talking to myself in various odd voices, and that helps…me obtain special medication.
What message to you want readers to remember? Most of all, I invite you to have fun with me. That’s what fiction should provide, on whatever level. If you’re not having fun, I’m not having fun.
