How did you know you wanted to be an author? I am an intuitive and natural communicator and had a passion to express powerfully by writing during my school days and the audience to my writing appreciated my writing more than myself. This ability helped me become an author. I take this opportunity to thank the Book Excellence Awards Team for supporting my work.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? Do not let criticisms dampen your spirit as an author. Criticisms refine writing when used constructively so invite them to better your prospect as an author.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? I write when I am happy as I believe it brings out the best. After I write I test how my writing impacts a reader as I believe I shall get a unbiased reaction naturally.
What message to you want readers to remember? The reason I wrote this is purely as a source of inspiration to many women like Mrs Sonia Gandhi who struggle to live a challenging life abroad. What acceptance means to people who work abroad is perhaps something I struggled to express as when there is no acceptance of the ideals they fail to flourish as they should. I sincerely hope that with the ascent of globalization, people and values will be widely accepted regardless of religion, color, creed, race, nationality etc and there will be no discrimination on such a basis or characteristics.
