How did you know you wanted to be an author?: I didn't, it found me, after finding ten A4 pads full of scribbling over a ten year period I suddenly realised I had been trying to write my story; it was there right in front of my eyes. All I had to do was find some help to put it all together, and as they say the rest is history.
What is your advice for aspiring authors?: Never ever give up, and don't take any notice of anyone trying to tell you what to do with your work, go with your gut feeling as it's always the right one.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?: I try to write for one hour every day, whilst constantly looking back over my work. I often see phrases and lines I wish to change, and through trial and error i find this method to be the most successful and fulfilling.
What message do you want readers to remember?: If I, a fifty seven year old dyslexic uneducated lady can write a book then anyone can. Everyone has a great story to tell, a book to write in them, and there are thousands of people out there all over the world who want to read it; believe in yourself!
