How did you know you wanted to be an author? I always knew I wanted to be an author, I can’t remember ever wanting to be anything else, except when I was really young and I wanted to be a farmer. Honestly, I can’t remember what made me want to be an author, my best guess is that from an early age I loved reading, so that’s probably what inspired my dream.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? My advice to aspiring authors would be to just keep writing. Just keep going! Also, read. A lot! Reading teaches you how to write, it inspires you and introduces you to new styles, it will teach you everything you need to know about writing your own stories. 🙂
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? I don’t really have any rituals or practices, but the one thing I do need to be able to write is quiet, therefore, I get most of my work done when I’m alone in the house!
What message to you want readers to remember? I’d love readers of Red Days to remember that, although Red Days is a work of fiction with fictional characters and plot, it is also based on fact. I’d absolutely love it if readers were inspired enough by reading my book to go out and do their own research into the Taiji dolphin slaughter and the steps that are being taken to stop it.
