How Did You Know You Wanted To Be An Author? My wife and I had talked about writing a book of our experiences as people with disabilities. After Priscilla's passing in 2017, I knew that I needed to write things down as a catharsis and as a way to honor her memory and our life together. The book is all of those things and more, I am proud of how it turned out.
What Is Your Advice For Aspiring Authors? The hardest part of writing is starting. The 2nd hardest part of writing is stopping. Hire a writing coach for developmental editing as soon as you start getting going. Take everything everyone tells you as a suggestion and know that your book will turn out better if you work with people who have been in the self-publishing industry. Do not do this alone, it takes a village. And oh yeah, Laugh as much as you can during all stages of the writing and publishing process.
