How did you know you wanted to be an author? I did not want nor knew (then or now) that I ˜want ‘ to be an author! Professional soldiering was my calling for over 40 years. Perhaps, a spark lingered, somewhere in our (self and mate ‘s) consciousness, that the story of our ˜uncommon ‘ life has some interest value and is worth sharing. The coincidence of that ˜spark ‘ riding on the crest of a creative urge has gestated into this Book.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? If you have a story inside (and we all do) and some talent for telling it then do so before you are over 80, like me.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?Just maintain the discipline of drafting and re-drafting, till you are fully satisfied. Being in the comfort zone of retirement I could indulge myself in this and every other way, as I felt like.
What message to you want readers to remember?Musings is a simple story of two non-heroes, but it is has subtle, even philosophical messages. Do look for the deeper meanings and subtleties of challenges, choices and values in real life.
