How Did You Know You Wanted To Be An Author? It was just a small still voice inside me at the age of 14 that prompted me to write a book. I wrote stories for school and my English teacher loved them so much that she read them out loud to the class. A seed was planted and the dream never left me, but I was always afraid and had no clue how to get started. Then, close to the age of fifty, I just started writing, doing it afraid, and here I am. I just finished and published my fourth book, Cooking for Cancer after Have Food Will Travel.
What Is Your Advice For Aspiring Authors? Do it afraid. When you don’t know how to start, just start. Don’t let people talk you out of your dream. It is your dream to pursue. Do so with passion. If you want to walk on water, you have to get out of the boat.
