Author Bio: Johanna is a retired scuba instructor always looking for a purpose. She worked in a library while becoming a holistic nutrition practitioner and more recently, a certified holistic cancer practitioner. In 2010 she enrolled in a recipe development contest with the Service Inspired Restaurant Corporation in Ontario, Canada. She won the contest with her bamboo steamed lobster and watercress salad. This earned her a dinner for six cooked by executive chef Michael Steh from Reds Bistro in Toronto, a mention in the Food & Wine magazine published by the Ontario liquor board and a cooking course for two at the Culinary Institute of America, where Chef John Ash was her instructor.
