How did you know you wanted to be an author? Because I have never wanted to be anything else. I have become quite proficient, even noted, for other skills I have developed making a living while I struggled to improve my writing skills.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? Believe in yourself above all else. You will find plenty of people to tell you why you shouldn’t waste your time, why you will never succeed, and why your hard work was a waste in their opinion so don’t be your own worst enemy.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?I set aside the same time each day to write, and then make sure nothing interferes. I schedule nothing close to the start or end and accept no calls or texts, and my closest friends and family know to give me the time. It lets me be mentally prepared to sit down and work and to not have to worry about distractions.
What message to you want readers to remember? If anything, it would be great if they kept in mind that what is happening in the background of each story are actual events and accurately described, and worth as much consideration as the fictional story.
How can fans get in contact with you?Through the Facebook group. They can message me (or better yet join the group) there.
