How did you know you wanted to be an author?: It happened organically. I knew I had an important story to share with patients and so I put my thought to paper. I always have loved to write. I envisioned my first book would actually be a romance novel or an autobiography. From the time I was a child I always felt comfortable expressing myself with words.
What is your advice for aspiring authors?: Get it done! Do not doubt yourself, nor your message. Not every book is going to be a bestseller. But if one person is impacted by what you have written that is one person you have helped heal.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?: Usually I gain my inspiration late at night.
What message do you want readers to remember?: Every challenge particularly living with a chronic illness is 90% mental. That gives you the power to change.
