How did you know you wanted to be an author? I have been writing since I was a child, yet never aspired to write a book. For decades, professionally, I have written hundreds of feature and news stories for network affiliate Television in addition to being published in dozens of magazines. The opportunity to co-author “Buccaneer” came out of the blue. Call it Destiny or Fate.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? Believe in yourself. If you have a burning and strong desire to do something, you already have the ability within you to make it so. It is simply a matter of how badly you want it and how hard you are willing to work for it.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? When I feel led to write, I do so. In other times I discipline myself to write, but take breaks when I feel the creative energy needs a rest.
What message to you want readers to remember? Life is an amazing adventure. Anything is possible. Miracles DO happen. Its a matter of opening your mind, waking up, taking notice and not judging. Like Emerson said, “It is never too late to be who you might have been.”
