How did you know you wanted to be an author? I loved writing since I was a child. I wrote a number of poems while still a teenager in Guyana, South America. I also love to read a lot and I guess a passion for writing grew from such a vocation. My father was a voracious reader and wrote extensively.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? The best recipe for success is to work hard at doing something you like to do. Also, do not be afraid of rejection. Writing can be a very subjective undertaking and invariably, some people will like your work, while others may not.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? Not really! I write as often as possible and try to make myself comfortable when I write. I write my best when the environment is peaceful and quiet. I utilize the Internet ceaselessly for research.
What message to you want readers to remember? In addition to giving of my best in the use of the written language, I wish to leave readers with stories and messages that may enrich their lives in one way or another.
