How did you know you wanted to be an author? While collecting bagpipe music and stories from World War One, I stumbled into writing the history of “The Suicide Battalion” (The 46th South Saskatchewan Battalion from my home town). Then I was hooked.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? Throw yourself into it whole-heartedly and see if writing is for you.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? I can’t stop researching. I can’t stop proof-reading and editing.
