How did you know you wanted to be an author? Regardless of my position in life, I’ve always been an educator at heart. Writing, whether through books, articles, or blog posts, was a natural extension of the desire to help others become the best version of his or herself.
What is your advice for aspiring authors? The single most important lesson I’ve learned about writing is the need for tenacity. Writing is a process that requires ongoing effort and practice. Writers write. They may not always be acknowledged for their efforts, but the more they write, the better it gets.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? My greatest tool for writing is keeping a journal“not a journal in the traditional sense, but a collection of thoughts, ideas, sheets torn out of magazines, or anything else that sparks an idea that I can modify or expand for the purposes of educating others.
What message to you want readers to remember? Success is relative. You define your own definition of success, and as long as you are making strides towards achieving it, success will come.
