How did you know you wanted to be an author? I loved reading so much as a kid (I did a lot of it in closets, as we had a noisy household). When I grew up, I wanted to create stories that kids would love to read as much as those I had read!
What is your advice for aspiring authors? Just keep trying. There are lots more ways to publish a story than there used to be!
Do you have any writing rituals or practices? Not really.
What message to you want readers to remember? Things are seldom what they seem. (I actually sang this duet once when I played Buttercup in HMS Pinafore.) In this story, the young protagonist learns that she has been quite wrong about a number of things.
