How did you know you wanted to be an author?: I began writing at the urging of my father. Before I started working on my first book I had no interest in writing professionally. I'm so glad I listened to my parent's advice!
What is your advice for aspiring authors?: Don't put off writing. Sit down and do it, good or bad. Write about what is important to you and what moves you.
Do you have any writing rituals or practices?: As I mention in "100 Tips and Tools for Managing Chronic Illness", before I begin to write I say my mantra, Make the magic happen. Usually it does.
What message do you want readers to remember?: Since I write primarily about health, I want my readers to know that they are brave and strong simply by not giving up, and to remember to enjoy all of the little things in their lives as they struggle with illness.
How can fans get in contact with you?: Fans can contact me directly at firstname.lastname@example.org. I welcome communication with my readers.
